Requesting Leave

Members can submit leave requests directly from their profile or the Leave section. Admins and managers can also submit leave on someone else's behalf.


How to request leave (as a member)

  1. Go to Leave in the sidebar, or open your profile and click the Leave tab
  2. Click Request leave
  3. Fill in the request:
    • Leave type (e.g. vacation, sick day)
    • Start date and end date
    • Optional note for your manager
  4. Click Submit

Your request is now pending and will appear in your manager's approval queue.


How to request leave on behalf of someone (admin/manager)

  1. Open the person's profile from People
  2. Click the Leave tab
  3. Click Add leave request
  4. Fill in the same details as above
  5. Click Submit

You can also choose to approve immediately when submitting on someone's behalf — useful for retroactively recording leave that has already been taken.


Leave types

Leave types are configured by your workspace admin. Common examples:

  • Vacation / Annual leave
  • Sick leave
  • Personal leave
  • Parental leave

If you don't see a leave type you need, ask your admin to add it in workspace settings.


What happens after you submit?

Your request shows as pending until someone with approval rights acts on it. You'll receive a notification when it's approved or declined.

tip

Add a note to your request when the context might not be obvious — especially for last-minute requests or partial days. It helps your manager respond faster.
